World Music Explorers

We hold the belief that music is a language that knows no bounds bridging connections to people across all international borders. 

The American Academy of World Music was established to cultivate the world’s musical talent and connect musical traditions from students of different cultural and musical backgrounds and to provide them with a multicultural education in international folk, jazz and pop music.

At our academy, we take pride in offering a diverse range of ensembles, committed to providing a comprehensive collaborative music experience for our students. Our program includes 13 different groups, such as a Duoyin orchestra,youth symphony orchestra and a percussion group, catering to a variety of musical interests. Each group is led by experienced, professional instructors who guide students in both technical skills and in fostering the spirit of teamwork essential in ensemble and orchestral settings. Our goal is to facilitate holistic growth and development in music through these collective performances. Join our ensembles and embark on a musical journey filled with the joys of collaboration and creativity.

MUSIC CAMP

Summer Camp

Music Workshop

All courses are designed for students who have played an instrument for at least 2 years and received instrumental lessons. Experiences in the program include chamber music ensembles, performing with classmates and faculty, composing with electronic devices, and music production. At each stage of the course, students will have the opportunity to play Western and traditional folk instruments from around the world with world-renowned artist music teachers.
