Ms Jacey He is a Chinese multi-instrumentalist and arranger specializing in Chinese traditional and fusion jazz music. She was admitted to Berklee College of Music with a scholarship, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production (CWP).
Jacey was first introduced to the drum set, Hulusi, and Bawu at the age of 5, and later received professional training in Suona. Before attending Berklee, she primarily played traditional and folk music and participated in traditional Chinese music ensembles for several years. Now she is including more elements such as funk, pop, and fusion jazz.
During her time at Berklee, she has participated in numerous performances, sharing the stage with artists from various countries, including the United States, Iran, Singapore, and France. In 2023, she performed "Leisurely" with Suona on the 25th Octoboefest with her band, which earned her significant recognition.
Jacey is currently focused on arranging and performing music for Chinese traditional instruments such as Suona, Xiao, and Dizi and integrating them into a variety of styles.
